Granite State Christadelphians

Hall Appeal

History

The Granite State ecclesia has existed in the Southern New Hampshire area since the late 1970s. In the past 30 years we have not had a building to call our own, but have held weekly services, seminars, and public lectures in rented spaces, warehouses, schools, hotels, and colleges, and enjoyed Bible classes together in our homes. We have been renting a building on Sunday mornings in Merrimack New Hampshire since 2005. A facility of our own from which to project the glory and truths of our Heavenly Father has always been one of our goals. Recently, we have rejoiced to find a place of our own in Goffstown, NH and we feel it is important to establish and nourish a presence in a community where we can help the Word of God shine forth as best we can. We are active in our community including helping at food banks, working at outreach centers, and visiting in local nursing homes.

As a family oriented group we feel that it is vitally important to teach the young ones to express their spirituality, not only in words but in actions as expressions of our faith in God and our compassion for the needs of others.

Members and Children

Our 25 baptized members range from 28 to 80 years old. Our 11 children range between 2 and 15 years old. All members and children participate in Sunday school. Children 12 and older participate in weekly CYC classes and occasional social activities.

Preaching

We have engaged in a variety of preaching activities over the years. Currently we hold monthly public lectures which focus primarily on first principles. With God’s help the hall will soon be ready for use and our first public lecture will be “Who are the Christadelphians” to introduce ourselves to the community. Future efforts will include a revival of a series titled “How to Read Your Bible Effectively” in an effort to generate interest in bible study in our new community.

Financial Needs

We have determined the cost of refurbishing the hall to current regulations will be $70,000. We have committed $30,000 of our own funds and have raised an additional $15,000. We are hopeful that this worldwide appeal will raise the final $25,000 (15,000 GBP) needed to complete the work on this new hall.
